Why it matters
Subterranean termites are active right across Sydney, and they don’t come in through the front door. They come up from the soil, through the gaps around plumbing pipes, cracks in the slab and the joint at the slab edge, then travel inside walls where nobody sees them.
Once the concrete is down, those entry points are sealed in forever. Protecting them during the build is the cheapest and most complete protection a home will ever have, and damage from termites is usually excluded from home insurance.

Why during construction
A retrofit can only treat around a finished house. A pre-construction system protects the parts nobody will ever be able to reach again.
A barrier put in during the build costs a fraction of a post-construction system, and far less than repairing termite damage.
New houses (Class 1) and outbuildings (Class 10) with termite-susceptible framing need a compliant termite management system.
Pipe penetrations and slab joints can only be fully protected while they're still open, before the concrete goes in.
An under-slab system covers ground that no treatment from outside the finished house can ever reach.
Your certifier needs the certificate and durable notice before issuing the Occupation Certificate. We supply both together.

Installation stages
A termite barrier isn't a single visit. Each part goes in when the site is ready for it, and we fit around your plumber, concreter and bricklayer.
Send your plans and slab details. We recommend a system and give you one fixed price that covers every stage.
Collars go on every service once the plumber has set out, then the membrane or soil treatment is installed across the prepared site.
Perimeter and cavity protection is fitted as the brickwork or cladding goes up, so there's no unprotected gap at the slab edge.
Where it's specified, the chemical perimeter or reticulation system is completed around the building before paths and gardens go in.
A durable notice goes in the meter box, and the installation certificate goes to your builder and certifier.
The owner gets simple care instructions and an inspection schedule so the system keeps doing its job for years.

In most cases, yes. The National Construction Code requires a termite management system for new houses and outbuildings in termite-prone areas where the primary building elements can be damaged by termites. Sydney is termite-prone, so the system is installed to AS 3660.1 and your certifier will ask for the installation certificate and durable notice before the Occupation Certificate is issued.
As soon as you have a rough slab date. Collars and under-slab systems go in after the plumber has set out the services and before the concrete is poured, so we lock our visit in around your plumber and concreter.

Both can comply with AS 3660.1. Physical systems need no chemical top-ups and are designed to last as long as the slab while they stay intact. Chemical soil barriers can cost less up front and can be recharged, especially when a reticulation system is laid. Many Sydney builds combine physical collars with a perimeter system.

No system makes a building termite-proof. A compliant barrier stops termites getting in unseen and forces any activity out into the open, where an inspection can pick it up. That is why a timber pest inspection at least every 12 months is recommended after handover.
Physical barriers are designed to last the life of the slab as long as they are not damaged or covered. A chemical soil barrier lasts as long as the product label and soil conditions allow, and a reticulation system lets it be recharged without lifting paving.
Yes. We install systems for extensions, secondary dwellings, duplexes, townhouses and multi-unit projects, and we tie new work into the existing building's protection where that is possible.
You can no longer protect under the slab or around the pipes directly, but the building can still be protected with a post-construction system such as a trenched and treated chemical perimeter or in-ground baiting. It usually costs more and covers less, so it is always better to book before the pour.
